Man accused of coercing teen to rob Rostraver pawn shop - Tribune-Review/Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

A Fayette County man is accused of threatening a 17-year-old tocoerce him to rob a Rostraver pawn shop.

Michael Salko, 26, of 419 Cassin Ave., Newell, took the teen withhim to exchange a necklace and earrings for $11 about 3:30 p.m.March 10 at the Cash for Gold, 417 Don St. in Rostraver, accordingto an affidavit of probable cause.

After Salko and the boy left the business, they got into Salko'ssport utility vehicle, where Salko threatened to assault the teen,Rostraver police said.

Salko helped the boy tie a bandana around his face and gave him apair of gloves and a knife, and the boy went back into the pawnshop, according to court documents.

Police arrested the teen about 4 p.m. and noticed Salko in hisSUV driving slowly on Don Street in front of the business.

Charges of criminal conspiracy and corruption of minors werefiled before West Newton District Justice Charles Christner. Salkoposted $15,000 bond and faces a preliminary hearing May 7 beforeChristner.
